It’s our first full day in Iceland! We visited a geothermal plant (pictured) and learned about Iceland’s energy production. Then onto Geysir, which is (surprise!) home to a geyser that erupts every few minutes. We also saw Gullfoss, a spectacular waterfall that must be seen to be believed (sorry, no pictures because you really have to come here to see it). Then we checked out Thingvellir National Park, and took a picture on the spot where Iceland became an independent country. On to the Westfjords tomorrow!
