Independence Day in Iceland.

Independence Day was spent riding Icelandic horses along the coastline, exploring an icy crevasse, and hiking from town-to-town on the coastline. The Snaefellsness Peninsula is all it’s cracked up to be! The water is light blue and spotted with basalt rocks where birds are raising their young. For dinner, we had burgers, BBQ, and milkshakes. We finished our night by singing The National Anthem. Up next: A fishing trip for our last full day in Stykkishólmur!
