After almost two weeks we’re back in Reykjavik where we started. Yesterday, we left the Snaefellsness peninsula after hiking Kirkjufell mountain (as you can see in the picture, some napped there) one of the most photographed mountains in Iceland. The hostel we were staying in also happened to be hosting an acapella band touring around Iceland. This group of 5 men (one is Icelandic) are called Olga and they’re doing a feminist themed set, singing songs by great female artists. They taught us a dance (pictured), so next time you see us ask us to show you.
We then stopped at the Settlement Center, an interactive museum about Iceland’s history, where we learned about the Norse settlers that first came to this island over a thousand years ago.
Our next and final day is glacier trekking! Everyone is in disbelief that this amazing trip is almost over, but we’ll cap it off with another day of true adventure on the glacier!
